I do so like to go to places I’ve never visited and Royal Basin fit the bill perfectly. It’s been on my list for years and last weekend Kate and I spent the day following the trail to the high country and back. Giant trees, moss-covered forest, running water, lakes, tarns and high peaks were our companions.
