In 2003, I shot photos of Jim Whittaker for an outdoor magazine, Hooked on the Outdoors. This was part of a series of famous people in their garages with their outdoor gear. Jim was very kind and welcoming during my visit to his home in Port Townsend, Washington. Always refreshing to meet prominent people who aren’t too caught up in their own fame.
