A good friend of mine from the UK, master photographer, adventurer and storyteller, John Beatty, had a significant birthday last year. A surprise celebration was in the works for a few days in early October of 2021. I simply couldn’t turn down the invite by mutual friends, so despite covid restrictions and issues, I caught a flight and spent an amazing week helping to honor John, which involved a lot of cycling, hiking, beer drinking and laughing.
